Week 1 Day 2 : Seattle to San Francisco

Trip to San Francisco

First Night in San Francisco

Hello Friends, Family, and Stalkers!

Our trip has just begun and so far we haven’t done too much out of the ordinary.  Last night we boarded a plane from Seattle to San Francisco and today we are getting right into what we plan to be our travel routine.

Tom woke up at 6am to start his work.  He found a hipster coffee shop called Contraband Coffee Bar where he posted up and I met up with him to write my first post for our travel blog.  I plan to post every Thursday (internet access dependent) with a written/photo story line of our travels.  Tom will be posting on Sundays experimenting with video blogs.  Hopefully the combo gives you a fun view into our travels!  We hope you enjoy it!

The last days leading up to our departure were filled with goodbyes.

We spent the last weekend in Washington hanging with my Mom, Dad, and good friend Amber (visiting from France!  So glad our timing synced up! 🙂 ) up at my parents’ Cabin in Silver Lake.

We said goodbye to the Skagit Valley ski gang at Lake Pulley just north of Alger, WA Saturday night.

Tuesday evening we said goodbye to our friends at the Brave Horse Tavern in Seattle.

Thank you to everyone who made the time to catch up with us and say goodbye!  It was so good to see you!  For those we missed we can’t wait to see you next year!  We hope this year treats you well!  We look forward to swapping stories when we return!

Packing turned out to be much easier than I expected.  I was surprisingly able to take more than I originally thought.

In order to utilize our space the best, we used gallon size plastic bags. We organized our clothes into categories.  (underwear, socks, sport tops, sport bottoms, shirts, etc.)  Doing so, not only saves lots of room, but also makes it really easy to find the items you need and repack quickly.

And We’re Off!

Our last order of business was lunch at the Train Wreck with my Noni before we boarded the Bellair Airporter Shuttle to head off!

Gladly there isn’t much more to report for now.  Everything went smoothly getting to the airport.  We were even there early so we had time to grab a B’st (pronounced beast) at the aiport.

Alright, I’m out for now.  I need to head on over to Funky Door on Polk to catch my yoga class for the day!  I hope everyone is having a great week!  I’ll catch up with you next Thursday!
